AGUA DULCE – Acton and Agua Dulce churches will host the annual Easter sunrise service using Vasquez Rocks as a backdrop for a pageant of Roman soldiers, apostles and Jesus of Nazareth’s crucifixion and resurrection. For the first time, a matinee Saturday afternoon will accomodate some of the 2,500 to 3,000 worshippers who crowd the county park every Easter morning. “We actually overflow the park,” said Pastor Mike Sheridan of Family Community Church, one of the host congregations. Hosted by the Alliance of Churches of Agua Dulce and Acton, the matinee Saturday is at 3:30 p.m. Sunday’s service starts at 5 a.m. AD Quality Auto 360p 720p 1080p Top articles1/5READ MOREOregon Ducks football players get stuck on Disney ride during Rose Bowl eventThe pageant mixes live music with a re-enactment of the Biblical story of Jesus’ last hours.
